The Heinrich Himmler crystal skull is a mysterious artifact that was allegedly found in Bavaria, Germany, in 2011. It is said to have belonged to Heinrich Himmler, the leader of the SS and one of the most powerful and ruthless men in Nazi Germany. The skull is made of clear quartz and weighs 9.2 kilograms. It is believed to be one of the ancient crystal skulls that were revered by the Maya and other cultures in Mesoamerica. The skull is also similar to the death's head symbol that was worn by the SS officers.
The discovery of the skull was reported by Luc Burgin, a Swiss journalist and editor-in-chief of the magazine MYSTERIES. He claimed that he personally inspected the skull and the documents that accompanied it. The documents were a top secret inventory list of the SS Reichssicherheitshauptamt (Reich Security Main Office) dated April 1945. The list contained various artworks, artifacts, documents, and treasures that were looted or confiscated by the Nazis during World War II. Some of the items on the list were:
- A center panel of the Altarpiece of Ghent, a famous 15th-century painting by Hubert and Jan van Eyck.
- Egyptian artifacts that were thought to have been lost, such as a statue of Akhenaten and a bust of Nefertiti.
- Secret documents of General Hans Kammler, a Nazi engineer who was involved in developing super weapons and secret projects.
- A pot made of gold from Lake Chiemsee, which was discovered in Bavaria in 2001 and later sold by the Bavarian Finance Ministry.
- Personal treasure trunks of Adolf Hitler.
Burgin said that if the inventory list was authentic, it would be one of the most historically significant documents that survived the war. He also speculated that the crystal skull might have been part of Himmler's occult interests and experiments. Himmler was known to be fascinated by myths, legends, and esotericism. He founded the Ahnenerbe (Ancestral Heritage), a research institute that aimed to prove the superiority of the Aryan race and to find ancient relics and secrets. He also sponsored expeditions to various parts of the world, such as Tibet, Antarctica, and South America, in search of mystical knowledge and power.
However, not everyone is convinced by Burgin's claims. Some experts have expressed doubts about the authenticity of the skull and the documents. They have pointed out some inconsistencies and errors in the inventory list, such as misspellings, incorrect dates, and inaccurate descriptions. They have also suggested that the skull might be a modern fake or a replica, as there is no evidence that it originated from Mesoamerica or that it has any supernatural properties. They have also questioned Burgin's credibility and motives, as he is known to be a promoter of sensational stories and conspiracy theories.
The Heinrich Himmler crystal skull remains a controversial and mysterious object that has attracted both curiosity and skepticism. It is unclear where it is currently located or who owns it. It is possible that it is still hidden somewhere in Germany or that it has been sold or transferred to another place. It is also possible that it is a hoax or a fraud that was created to deceive or profit from people's interest in Nazi history and occultism. The truth about the skull may never be fully known or revealed.
